She utilizes mediums such as charcoal, ink, acrylic, oil, paper, leaves, flower petals, Bobby pins, enamel, wax, wire and wine. City Market at the Forge - 219 W. Lewis Street: The GSO City Market is a downtown open air market featuring the best and brightest of the Triad of North Carolina. Held monthly on the 3rd Friday of the month from April to June from 6pm - 10pm, the market offers live music, great local food, vibrant art and performance, interesting people and talented artisans. It's the biggest market in Downtown Greensboro with an attendance of almost 40,000 people since its inception in 2013. This is the rain day event for May. 

 

Community Theatre of Greensboro - 520 S. Elm Street: My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra (Friday night at 7:30PM) Shows June 1-10 We will also be set up outside our theatre doors from 5-7PM with information about upcoming shows and events as well as promoting our upcoming production of Disney's The Little Mermaid - featuring Ariel!! Bring the kids out for a coloring station and photo opportunity with your favorite mermaid!

 

Elsewhere - 606 S. Elm Street: 5 artists from across the globe, 3 floors featuring new artworks. Meet the May artists-in-residence and discover what they've been up to in this culminating, group opening for this June First Friday Happening. Join them at Elsewhere for new interactive installations, craft cocktails, and art for all ages! $5 suggested admission.

HQ Greensboro - 111 W. Lewis Street: AARP-NC (non-profit) is launching a 2018 Voter Engagement Campaign focused on NC District promoting "Be the Difference" by asking the community to pledge to vote in the 2018 November election. HQ Greensboro is located in the BID and is allowing AARP-NC to have a vendor table (1 time) with AARP-NC volunteers discussing the importance of voting and the importance of age 50+ issues including social security, Medicare, prescription drug costs and family caregiving. AARP is a 501c4 non-profit membership organization supporting social welfare and a positive life as we age. Dr. Catherine Sevier and her husband David Sevier are AARP members and their business is located at HQG.

 

International Civil Rights Center & Museum - 134 S. Elm Street: A small story of a small high school band who took the world of funk and soul by storm. Thunder Soul tells the story of Kashmere Stage Band, a high school jazz band in Texas, who, for a decade, rocked the high school competitive scene with their incredible music. This was, for the most part, thanks to the efforts of one teacher: Conrad Johnson, Sr. This documentary features the students returning to honor their professor decades later, all to soul-stirring narration by Jamie Foxx. FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
