Center for Visual Artists - 200 N. Davie Street: Visit Center for Visual Artists for the opening of We Art Greensboro, a community art show exhibiting the wide array of creatives that call Greensboro home. This exhibition will be accompanied by a panel discussion each Wednesday evening at 7PM.

Forge Greensboro - 219 W. Lewis Street: So you might've heard... We have a new Boss Laser Cutter & Engraver at the Forge!Come out to this FREE event and see what this new laser can do! This event is open to public, bring a friend, or 5!We will be doing live demos, giving tours, and generally having fun, so don't forget to hop down to the Forge during First Friday to be a part of something awesome!

 

GreenHill - 200 N. Davie Street: Live artist demo from 5:30 - 6:30PM by ECU Metal Facility/artists. Live music by Red Nucleus from 7:00 - 8:00PM. 

 

Greensboro Cultural Center - 200 N. Davie Street: On First Friday in August, Greensboro Cultural Center will hold a special open house from 6-8 pm to showcase the arts organizations located at 200 N. Davie St. This event is free and will feature live dance, music, theater and improv comedy performances, a scavenger hunt with a chance to win door prizes, and a create-your-own art station. The center’s art galleries will be open for shopping and viewing, and there will be free popcorn, Chick-fil-A and beer and wine samples by Café Europa. Kona Ice will be available for purchase.

 

Greensboro Transit Authority - 102 Martin Luther King Jr Drive: Greensboro Transit Authority will have a display of Greensboro's first Battery-Electric Rechargeable Bus along with literature and giveaways. Bus will be located on Elm Street near intersection with Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.

 

International Civil Rights Center & Museum - 134 S. Elm Street: Join the International Civil Rights Center & Museum we as discuss the many different forms of bullying and how local agencies are dealing with and tackling the problems.
