Center City Park - 200 N. Elm Street: Join Drumming the Triad North Carolina on First Fridays from April-November for a Drum Circle at 6:30pm in Center City Park downtown Greensboro, NC at 200 N. Elm St. This event is free and open to all - come join the fun!Sponsored by Living on the Veg Tees.

 

City of Greensboro PLANIT GSO Kick Off Event - 200 N. Elm Street: Join City Mayor Nancy Vaughan, Councilmember Justin Outling and City staff from 5:45-6:30 pm Friday, October 5, at Center City Park’s “Great Lawn" during the First Friday downtown event, for the official kick-off of PLANIT GSO. PLANIT GSO is a City initiative designed to get your input about how Greensboro should grow and develop in the future. Your opinions will help the City update its current Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted in 2003. The October 5 kick-off of PLANIT GSO includes comments by Vaughan and Outling and free games and entertainment for all ages. Stop by to hear about all the ways you can get involved in the PLANIT GSO process, from taking surveys to visiting PLANIT GSO gatherings at pop-up events across the city during the next six months.

Just Be - 352 S. Elm Street: We will be featuring jewelry artist, Dena Goldman this First Friday. Dena used metals, beads and crystals to create one of a kind unique pieces. 

 

Scuppernong Books - 304 S. Elm Street: First Draft is a Curated Open Mic. Selected readers will share works-in-progress (up to 8 minutes). Those in attendance can put their name in the First Draft goblet for an opportunity for 5 minutes at the mic. All genres, all identities, all bodies are welcome. First Draft celebrates imperfect works-in-progress. First Draft celebrates literary community and aims to bring diverse writers together in the same room.

 

Wrangler Pop-Up Shop - 300 S. Elm Street: We’re re-opening our doors in downtown Greensboro!
