Center for Visual Artists - 200 N. Davie Street: It's almost June which means CVA's annual 100 for 100 Fundraiser! 100 10x10" works of art by 100 artists for $100, one night only! 100% of the proceeds support the CVA Gallery exhibitions and programming. Help support the Greensboro art community by buying art!! These proceeds go directly into more programming for the Greensboro Arts! We give a huge thanks to all the artists who are donating their visions and skills to help us continue to grow. This is truly a community effort; us and them and you!

 

Elsewhere - 606 S. Elm Street: Celebrate Pride and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots at Elsewhere. The Living Museum will showcase and screen selected art works by past LGBTQIA+ residents. $5 suggested admission

 

GreenHill - 200 N. Davie Street: Join us in the gallery for walk-through tour of “Bliss” Kristen Baumlier-Faber’s installation on salty, sweet and fat foods from 6:00-6:30. Next, enjoy live music by classically trained guitarist, Stephanie Arcos, from 6:30-7:30 PM. At 7:30 PM, Art Alliance instructors will share about their mini-exhibition "Influence," on view in GreenHill's shop. Suggested donation for entry. Cash bar. Greensboro Children's Museum - 220 N. Church Street: Climb to new heights on our XXL Neptune Climbers, build forts in Imagination Station and more at the Greensboro Children's Museum for just $3 per person from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. Kona Ice of Greensboro will be at the Museum selling yummy sweet treats!

 

Greensboro Downtown Yoga - 219 Summit Avenue: Our First Friday Fundraiser on June 7th will benefit Jan's Animal Rescue! Brittany Carty will lead this fun and relaxing Friday evening yoga class to kick off your weekend. Beginner and seasoned yogis welcome. Preyer Brewing - 600 Battleground Avenue: Please join us on Friday, June 7 for the next installment of First Friday Jazz at Preyer Brewing! Please support local business and local jazz musicians in a wonderful space that is open to all, with no cover. Preyer Brewing is known for their great handcrafted beers and also as a favorite venue to enjoy live jazz. Lineup is:Wally West,, Kevin Timmons and Will "Mobetta" Ledbetter. In addition, we're hosting Western Guilford High School Jazz Ensemble's CD Release Party! They'll have CDs for sale as a fundraising effort for the music program at WGHS, and musicians from the WGHS Stinger Jazz Ensemble will be performing in several small configurations during the evening.

 

Vintage to Vogue - 530 S. Elm Street: Come check out the First Friday event at Vintage to Vogue Boutique. Enjoy the live folk music of Vance Archer III while you sip a glass of wine and chat with the local artists in the Artisans' Treehouse. We also have new inventory so you don't want to miss the event happening this Friday!!

 

William Magnum Studio - 303 W. Smith Street: Artist William Mangum unveils his latest body of original artwork. With over 50 new works, ranging from abstract to transitional. The show highlights the rich and varied talents of this renowned artist. First Friday is a rare opportunity to take a peek at Bill’s working studio, and learn insights into his ever-evolving career.
