GreenHill Center for NC Art: Opening reception for NC Women Abstract Painters, with all five exhibiting artists in attendance and FIRST FRIDAY entertainment with DEBBIE THE ARTIST. Featuring Eleanor Annand, Barbara Ellis, Katy Mixon, and Felicia Van Bork, this exhibition brings together approximately eighty major works of art from large scale paintings to small studies. Gallery and studios are FREE and open to the public. Cash bar. Donations appreciated. 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Center for Visual Artists: Self-Recognition Through the Other Opening Reception. An exhibit guest-curated by Brooklyn artist Kunjo around the themes of understanding feelings, shared experiences, and navigating how we heal individually and collectively. 6 PM - 9 PM


African-American Atelier: The Collective: An InnerActive Conversation. Exhibiting African American artists discuss their work and how it addresses subjects, issues, and concerns within the African American Community. Featured Artist Steven M. Cozart leads the discussion with panel members Roymieco Carter, Essence Foster, William Paul Thomas, Antoine Williams, Andrena Coleman, and others. 6 PM - 7:30 PM

Carolina Theatre: The Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular is the smash hit multimedia laser and light show, featuring the Original Master Recordings of Pink Floyd. Tickets here. 8 PM - 10:30 PM


Scuppernong Books: The MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro will host a poetry and fiction reading by Robin Hendricks and Matt Valades. A part of the MFA Writing Program's 2020 Thesis Reading Series, the event is free and open to the public. 7 PM - 9 PM




  • Natty Greene's: Local group Carri + The Good Watts are playing on the Renovated 2nd floor. $3.50 beer special & great music make for a rockin' good time. 9 PM - 11 PM

  • Horigan's House of Taps: Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament. Tickets must be purchased in advance (for bracket creation). Each match-up will be judged by a referee following classic rock, paper, scissors rules, best 2 of 3 wins and moves on! 8 PM - 12 AM

  • Flat Iron: The Joe Beck Band. 8 PM - 12 AM

  • Little Brother Brewing: ThreeFour Mountain, a special mix of modern pop/rock with traditional bluegrass! Free show. 9 PM - 11 PM
